Can we elect a better Democrat 6, 12, or 18 years from now?

Is it an inquisition or democracy? If we don't recruit a better Senator by Tuesday, we'll have to wait 6, 12, or 18 years from now...

Most of what Stephen Colbert says here about Lieberman applies to Klobuchar, doesn't it? Klobuchar backed the President's decision to invade Iraq, supported the Alito nomination, and is willing to leave all options on the table (except diplomacy) when it comes to a confrontation with Iran. She's Joe Lieberman, in a dress... lining up to tongue the President.

"Klobuchar backed the President's decision to invade Iraq...."

Incorrect:

"I disagreed with the decision to invade Iraq."

From the Klobuchar website:

"While I support the invasion of Afghanistan, I disagreed with the decision to invade Iraq."

If that is really true, she disagreed with it pretty privately, pretty quietly.

If you have a copy of a letter to the editor published in a newspaper, against the war, written by Klobuchar, before the invasion, I'll change my opinion of her, and gladly republish that here. If you have any pictures her at any of the prewar anti-war marches, I will change my opinion of her, and republish them here.

Maybe Klobuchar really knows what the winning lottery tickets will be every week, but if she doesn't have the confidence or the trust of own instincts to buy the ticket with those numbers, she will never win the prize. Saying she knew what the lottery numbers would be, after the fact, is useful to know what if she didn't share those numbers or buy a ticket for herself.

I don't know whether or not she is lying about this, but the odds are that she is.

After all, she gave Kerry a free pass for his vote for war...
